With a passion for building bridges through storytelling, Lucy has followed lives and captured voices from all corners of the world for the past two decades. As a cinematographer, director and editor of short and long format documentaries, her work has been broadcast on BBC Storyville, BBC 3, PBS, ARTE, SWR, CNN, WaterBear and Icarus Complex Magazine. The feature-length documentary, “Out of the Ashes” (BBC Storyville) was co-produced by Sam Mendes and won a 2011 Grierson Award. She is part of Ripple Effect Images, a nonprofit collective of world-class storytellers and National Geographic photographers highlighting solutions for food, water, health, education, energy, economic empowerment, and climate. Together with Le Ciel Foundation, Lucy shot and co-directed “The Twelve”, a feature length documentary on the wisdom and knowledge of twelve indigenous Elders from across the globe.
Today her focus is on supporting the voice of Nature. She is part of the Wisdom Keeper's Delegation, an indigenous delegation pushing for policy change at the UN Climate Conferences. With her current film project "The Earth Elders", she is helping to amplify the voices of 52 Elders representing 52 bioregions.
Lucy has a base in London, owns her own equipment and works as a freelance cinematographer, director and editor across the globe.
